Summary

A big happy frog, a plump purple cat, a handsome blue horse, and a soft yellow duck--all parade across the pages of this delightful book。 Children will immediately respond to Eric Carle's flat, boldly colored collages。 Combined with Bill Martin's singsong text, they create unforgettable images of these endearing animals。

This is a very popular and cute book for children。 It also has amazing illustrations。

Ariel

This is a wonderful book to read with young children: the repeated phrases and illustrations draw them in。

Sequoia Isaac

This is one of my favorite books to read when introducing colors to children。 They enjoy looking at the pictures, and it’s always fun when the story is animated!

Chesnye Gardner

This was the first book my son was able to read, so I have read it hundreds of times! It is really simple and cute。 I love it!

Katie Little

This is another great read that many would enjoy!

Katie Tindall

My daughter has this memorized, she quotes it in the car。

This is a great book for children to learn their colors。 The book has repetitive parts that the children can learn。 The children can gain confidence and can start to read the book with the parent/teacher to start encouraging early reading。 The pictures in the book look like something the child may try to make on their own。 The book is short to keep a child's interest and keep them engaged。 Even though the book is only about animals and colors the parent/teacher can have the children count how ma This is a great book for children to learn their colors。 The book has repetitive parts that the children can learn。 The children can gain confidence and can start to read the book with the parent/teacher to start encouraging early reading。 The pictures in the book look like something the child may try to make on their own。 The book is short to keep a child's interest and keep them engaged。 Even though the book is only about animals and colors the parent/teacher can have the children count how many animals were in the book to help introduce counting。 。。。more

This book is great for younger kids。 It is a great interactive book and attention getter。 it is not realistic (I have never seen a blue horse) but I remember loving this book anyway。 you ca ask the kids what color the animal is after reading to book。 I think it is a great classic children's book。 This book is great for younger kids。 It is a great interactive book and attention getter。 it is not realistic (I have never seen a blue horse) but I remember loving this book anyway。 you ca ask the kids what color the animal is after reading to book。 I think it is a great classic children's book。 。。。more

An awesome book for learning animals and colors

This book is a foundational color book that will have the ability to teach young children colors。 I enjoyed the question and response aspect of this book in addition to the illustrations of different animals and their colors。 This book would be a great book to start with young children especially kindergartners。

This is a great book to introduce children to the world of animals and colors。 The entire book is full of repeated phrases (e。g。 "Green Frog, Green Frog, What do you see? I see a purple cat looking at me) and bright, lovely illustrations with a lot of texture and personality。Age: Infant-ToddlerCompanion Book: Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear? This book is a classic。 There really isn't a story。 The book is, in and of itself a game。 Each page features a colorful animal, and the text asks that animal what it sees。 The animal says another animal and another color (Brown bear sees a red bird, sees a yellow duck and so forth)。 Each page reveals the animal to the wonder of the child。 This is an excellent book for child and parent to bond over。 This book is a classic。 There really isn't a story。 The book is, in and of itself a game。 Each page features a colorful animal, and the text asks that animal what it sees。 The animal says another animal and another color (Brown bear sees a red bird, sees a yellow duck and so forth)。 Each page reveals the animal to the wonder of the child。 This is an excellent book for child and parent to bond over。 。。。more

A classic that even the youngest can “read”!

Brown brown was a really good book。 It was funny to image all the animals as different colors which also helps you excise your imagination。 I think this would be a good lesson for younger kids on learning colors but I would also make this book into a good song it has a very good rhythm。

Summary: This book goes through the different colors as well as different animals。 In the book it has big pictures and bright colors to help give a big representation of what it is。Reaction: I think this is a cute book and I remember reading it when I was younger。 Its a super easy book to read and I really like the illustrations in the book。 I like how big the pictures are and how the colors stand out。 How to apply it in the classroom: I can use in the classroom to help kids with their colors as Summary: This book goes through the different colors as well as different animals。 In the book it has big pictures and bright colors to help give a big representation of what it is。Reaction: I think this is a cute book and I remember reading it when I was younger。 Its a super easy book to read and I really like the illustrations in the book。 I like how big the pictures are and how the colors stand out。 How to apply it in the classroom: I can use in the classroom to help kids with their colors as well as the objects in the book。 It is not for older kids but can help with younger kids。 。。。more

The illustrations in this book are very simple, but it does helps children who are starting to learn their animals。 The book first starts with a brown bear explaining who he sees looking at him, and then it continues on to each animal afterwards。 I love that this book gives you the opportunity to use different voices for each animal to make it more engaging for children。

Kayla Williamson

I think this is a very good book and can be used in the classroom setting as well。

Kalia Vang

The tone or voice from reading this story was rhythmic and repetitive, but yet fun。 I do not think there is really a plot, but the story can help young children learn about their colors, sequencing, and animals。 The illustrations are colorful to help children learn their colors and to distinguish different animals。 They help the reader see what the words are saying。 This story is repetitive to allow children to pick up site words, memorize words, and to be engaged in reading。

Erin Dunlavy

Maybe the best of the series with the kids in the classroom learning their colors and animals。

Elliot

Elliot adores this book; our copy is from the library。 It is so simple, it’s a perfect book to translate in Romanian, so I have been reading it in both languages and he follows along and points to each of the animals in both Romanian and English。

Jeana Campbell

This book has funky illustrations that children may find intriguing and is a great early learning book for colors。
